Kanye West Remixes

You can hate on Kanye West all you want but his resume speaks for itself. At age 30, he is a ten-time Grammy Award winning rapper, singer and record producer. Since beginning his career, Kanye has received 36 awards amongst 114 nominations. In 2008 he released his fourth album in five years. Prior to going solo, Kanye gained fame by producing for Roc-A-Fella Records creating hit singles for Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson. His work on Jay-Z's phonomenol album, The Blueprint catapulted him into stardom. In 2007 Kanye West's album Graduation defeated the much hyped 50 Cent's Curtis in CD sales. When both albums released on the same day, a confident 50 cent publicly announced that he would retire if West outsold him in first-week sales. Kanye West won selling 957,000 units to 50's 691,000 units causing a media frenzy. So needless to say... Kanye can hold his own.

Flashing Lights (Diplo Remix) - Kanye West

Diplo is also pretty damn cool. From what I see on their myspace, videos included, is that they know how to put on a show. But stage performance isn't everything. To prove it, and coincidentally staying with the theme, they have released a Kanye West remix to "Flashing Lights." I have to have to give props to erger for hooking me on this one. I think it's brilliant!
